Co-Founder & Master Brewer

As a retired Marine Corps Officer with over 20 years of honorable service, Lacy discovered the potential to bring the benefits of kombucha to her community upon retirement. Through the Department of Defense SkillBridge Program, Lacy chose to train with Zip Kombucha, the largest kombucha brewing company in Alaska and one of the largest in the US. This unique opportunity allowed her to delve into the intricacies of large-scale brewing. 

Lacy's commitment to excellence, honed in the Marines, now drives the crafting of exceptional kombucha blends, blending military precision with creative passion in the small business realm. Lacy spearheads flavor expansion, equipment management, and the standardization of operating procedures, ensuring consistency in our kombucha offerings. With over a decade of personal kombucha brewing experience, Lacy assumed the role of Master Brewer at The Fermented Leaf.

Co-Founder & Operations Manager

Bringing a business-focused mindset to operations, Bailey holds an MBA in International Business from the University of South Carolina, renowned for its leadership in international business studies.

​Prior to co-founding The Fermented Leaf, Bailey climbed the management ladder at Airgas, a major player in the chemical and packaged gases industry. With six years of experience managing business operations, customer experience, and financial analysis for a $42M business area, Bailey has a profound understanding of profit and loss dynamics.


Bailey's role ensures the sustainable scaling, spending, and funding of the business, aligning with her focus on financial viability. Her strategic approach aims to secure The Fermented Leaf's success by balancing growth and financial responsibility.
